Which activities have you participated in as part of the RARSUS project?
I’ve elaborated successfully on my research proposal which has been validated by Dr Amadou Sidibe. I’ve also participated in the elaboration of my interview guide and questionnaire which have to be administrated with actors in Koumantou Commune.
What is your role within the project? What outcomes are you responsible for?
I’m a MSc Scholar within the project. The outcomes I am responsible for are to answer the following research questions regarding my study:
- What are the effects of the intensification of cashew processing on the development of the anacarde path?
- What are the benefits generated by the intensification of cashew processing on the development of the anacarde path?
- What are the added values created by the the intensification of cashew processing in the anacarde path?
- What are the effects of the intensification of cashew processing on food and nutrition security?
What is your research topic?
My research topic is about the analysis of the effects of the intensification of cashew processing on the development of anacarde path.
Tell us about the research you are going to conduct:
My research will be inspired by the methodology of the realist approach. As a first step, we will carry out an identification of the study area (an exploratory phase). This will allow us to conduct our research in the field, to validate the choice of the study area and to prepare the administration of my interview guide and questionnaire.
The review of memoirs, books, reports and scientific articles related to our study theme will support our field research. The literature will be based on these documents and studies already undertaken.

My personal achievements or successes I’ve had so far are:

The RARSUS project for me is…
The RARSUS project for me is contributing to the promotion of sustainable agriculture and food security in developing countries.
It is driving and sustaining young people in research in order to contribute to the development of their countries.
I must admit that the financial support is allowing me to make research based on scientific proofs and to go with success in the zones that concern my study.
It also provides me technical support through the supervision of Dr Emmanuel Cheo.
