From 18th to 25th July 2018 a school on renewable energy systems will be organized at the TH Köln (University of Applied Sciences) in Cologne, Germany. Participants will be amongst others, twelve graduate students and four academics and professors of the USST-B in Bamako, Mali. This summer school consists of field excursions (e.g. to renewable energy industries, research institutions and service companies in Germany), laboratory activities and input lectures by experts from the consortium and beyond.
The summer school gives an introduction in the demanding topics of renewable energy technology and management and addresses in this way the global challenges in relation to energy supply and climate change. It starts with lectures, laboratory experiments, workshop and seminars and continues with field trips and excursions. At the beginning participants will learn about the economics, politics, science, and technology behind renewable energy.
